We recycle our
household waste!
We separate paper, plastic, glass and aluminum from our household waste
and we place them separately in the blue bag...

... then we
throw them in the blue bin...

... but if
there is no blue bin by our house, we keep them in our car trunk
and deposit them to the nearest blue bin that we find!

We
keep in mind that the best solution for household waste, is less household
waste!
-------------
If
we have a garden, a yard or a backyard, we do not throw our organic
waste and food left-overs to the garbage: we put it in the compost bin
and turn it into compost for the garden!

If
we have a balcony or terrasse, we do
not throw our organic waste and food left-overs to the garbage:
we
put it in the
compost bin and
turn it into
compost for our plants!

CONSTRUCTION
DEBRIS
Since May 2007 the Greek government issued a new regulation that recycling
construction debris is compulsory and connected with the construction permit.
- Ask your architect and engineer about it. If they are not informed, ask
them to find out about it. It is the law (2939/01)
and the new regulation voted in August 2010 (FEK
1312B / 24.8.2010).
- If
your architect, engineer or contractor are not interested to know about
this, then change them!
- You do not want to throw (or ask someone else for you to throw) your construction
debris in a forest, river, in the sea, next to a road, in an empty lot,
in a protected area, in the neighbor's back or front yard.
- To find out how to recycle your construction debris, contact:
- Attica Region:
