Workshops take place in architectural offices around Athens.
During registration you will be asked to choose which office
team you would like to join. Participation in the offices is
very limited and therefore it is very likely that participation
in the highly demanded offices will close very fast. Register
early to secure your participation in the office of your choice.
The following architectural firms are hosting the ECOWEEK 2010
Workshops (update Dec. 10, 2009). ECOWEEK thanks the architects
and their office staff for joining and hosting ECOWEEK 2010

ECOWEEK
2009: Ecology + Leadership + Architecture Workshop
The interdisciplinary design workshops of ECOWEEK 2009
dealt with the site of the former international airport of Athens
in Hellenikon. The groups did not attempt to repeat the international
competition on the site; neither give tips to improve the official
plans for the site; neither attempted to impose architectural
symbols and schemes from abroad. The workshops rather attempted
to re-approach this important site for Athens and the residents
of the Metropolitan city, based on ecology, locality, community
and sustainability. More
